Sandhurst Vineyards is
situated at Hoads Farm, Crouch Lane, Sandhurst, Kent TN18 5PA.
The vineyard is part of a family
run mixed farm of 350 acres of hops, cherries and grassland. |

Our vineyard consists of Bacchus, Reichensteiner and Schonberger grapes for white wine
production and Rondo and Dornfelder for red wine. The wine is made at Chapel Down Winery
at Tenterden, Kent. Our current range comprises dry
and medium dry white, red and rosé.
Three varieties of beer are also available
from our own hops. The wine is sold from Hoads Farm either
from our shop or at Farmers' Markets, Agricultural Shows, Craft Fairs, etc. Some local
pubs and restaurants also stock our wine. |
Visitors are welcome to walk round
the vineyards and other parts of the farm at any time although booking is essential for groups
requiring a guide for which a charge of £2.50 per person is made including a tutored wine
tasting.

NEW 2011 Sandhurst Bacchus Dry - 13.0 % vol.
Silver Medals English & Welsh Wine of the Year Competition & SEVA Competition 2012. Judges'
comment: "nettles, grassy, spicy, good varietal character, good herby fruit, plenty of flavour,
bitterness on finish. Good length."

2003 Sandhurst Brut Vintage - 12.0 % vol.
From the hot summer of 2003 our Seyval Blanc reached its optimum ripeness with balanced
acidity. Only ready now after 4 years in bottle. For that special occasion if you need an
excuse!

2007 Sandhurst Dry - 12.0% vol. 75cl.
A Germanic blend of two varieties produced with New World winemaking techniques. Make this a
delicious aperitif on its own or would go well with poultry or fish.

2009 harvest was for
us by far the best of our 23 years of wine production. We have never seen a vintage like it.
September was warm and dry. We produced a useful harvest of clean grapes of all varieties &
all at optimum levels of ripeness – 25% more sugar sweetness than an average year. All
grapes needed no additional sugar to ferment into wines.
Bacchus Dry White - 12.5% vol.
Wine Guild Trophy winner & Gold medal in English & Welsh Wine of the
Year Competition 2011. “Spritz, youthful palate, lychee & mandarin on mid-palate, Very crisp &
fresh, nicely balanced, white pepper nuance. Very good length”.

2009 Bacchus Medium White - 11.5% vol.
Tom Day Trophy for most outstanding single varietal wine in English & Welsh Wine of the Year
Competition 2011. “Classic Bacchus aromatics, gooseberry, nettle & elderflower, smoky &
mineral accents. Touch of spritz, medium-dry, very crisp acidity, great flavour definition,
lovely balance, excellent length. Gorgeous wine.”

2009 Sandhurst Estate Red - 12.5% vol.
These grapes caused quite an excitement amongst the winemakers when the grapes were first
delivered as they were so perfectly ripe. The wine is produced from an early ripening clone
of Pinot called Pinot Noir Precoce. Harvested on 1st October 2009, unoaked to let the wine
express the classic Pinot fruit flavours. “Smoky, brambles, morello cherries. Creamy wood
more noticeable on palate, lively acidity, grainy tannins, fair length.”

Sandhurst Dry Rosé 2010 - 11.5% vol.
Berry fruit aroma. Very clean tasting, Summer fruit. Perfect for summer drinking or with
white meats.
