Sandhurst Vineyards is
situated at Hoads Farm, Crouch Lane, Sandhurst, Kent.
Hoads Farm is situated in the
Weald of Kent and is currently owned by Anne Nicholas and run by her eldest son,
Christopher who is married with two children and lives on our other farm in Sandhurst.
The 25 acre vineyard is part of a family
run mixed farm of 350 acres with 55 acres of hops and grassland. |

Our vineyard consists of Bacchus, Reichensteiner and Schonberger grapes for white wine
production and Rondo and Dornfelder for red wine. The wine is made by Owen Elias, the
winemaker at New Wave Wines, Tenterden, Kent. Our current range comprises sparkling, dry
and medium dry white, red, rose and dessert wine.
The wine is sold from Hoads Farm either
from our shop or at Farmers' Markets, Agricultural Shows, Craft Fairs, etc. Some local
pubs and restaurants also stock our wine. |
Visitors are welcome to walk round
the vineyards and other parts of the farm at any time although booking is essential for groups
requiring a guide for which a charge of £2.50 per person is made including a tutored wine
tasting.

2007 Bacchus Dry - 11.5 % vol. 75cl. A
dry, fruity wine with pleasing aftertones.

2007 Sandhurst Dry - 12.0% vol. 75cl.
A Germanic blend of two varieties produced with New World winemaking techniques. Make this a
delicious aperitif on its own or would go well with poultry or fish.

Rosé Medium Dry - 10.5% vol.
A blend of Rondo, Dornfelder & Schonburger. Ideal summer drinking wine with good fruit
flavours.

2001 Sandhurst Late Harvest Dessert Quality
Wine - 10.0% vol. 50cl.
Only once in a very long time, maybe 20 years, the Huxelrebbe grape gains enough sugar to make
a really sweet wine. The grapes were left more than a month longer than the other varieties
& selectively picked. Silver medals English and Welsh Wine of the Year Competition 2005
and South East Vineyards Association. Best wine in South of England Show 2007.

2003 Sandhurst Brut Vintage - 12.0% vol.
From the hot summer of 2003 our Seyval Blanc reached its optimum ripeness with balanced
acidity. Only ready now after 4 years in bottle. For that special occasion - if you need an
excuse!
